Founded in winter 2007-08, Scout Pittsburgh is a locally based, creative co-operative with a deep knowledge of the greater Pittsburgh area. We were initially contracted by the Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh, PA to lead the location scouting and logistical support services for the filming of the Pittsburgh portion of a large scale video art installation to be debuted as part of the 54th Carnegie International - Life on Mars. We have since employed our collective knowledge of this culturally rich and visually complex area to assist filmmakers from a diverse range of genres interested in taking advantage of our hometown’s vast potential.
Scout Pittsburgh specializes in the following services:
- Location scouting
- Photo/video documentation of potential sites
- Pre-shoot site visits and coordination
- Site negotiation
- Scheduling and logistics
